My experience has been that you cannot use the profile from 7.2 with 8.2.  When I did so I had issues with macro commands no longer fuctioning correctly, namely the Message command would not stop and wait for input.  The profiles look the same the as far as the dialog boxes are concernred so you have the option of taking screen shots of the current settings and reference them to configure 8.2.  I think the keymaps carry over OK.  

FYI - Alt PrtScn will capture only the current window as opposed to the entire screen, so it will save you space, especially if the end users have multiple monitors (It's surprising how many people do not know this).
