  1. I have recently observed that the Proxy Shell service on a Windows Server stops unexpectedly, with no logs indicating the cause. However, performing a reboot temporarily resolves the issue, although it reoccurs after a few days.
  2. When creating a job in Gateway Administrator targeting file servers where the directory is set to the root ("/"), the job does not seem to detect or transfer any files. Could someone please assist with this issue?

Hi frank,

according to the documentation: see https://www.microfocus.com/documentation/rsit-gateway/8-5/admin-guide/gateway-administrator-user-interface/transfer-sites.html

"Directory name

The name of the physical directory to be used by this site on the Transfer site file server. This directory is created in the Transfer site base directory configured for this server. By default, this value is filled in automatically with the Transfer Site name when you move your cursor. In most cases, you should use this default. Specify a different folder if you want your transfer to use an existing directory on the file server. Note: This existing directory must be relative to the base directory.

The directory name must be unique. If you specify the name of an existing directory, you'll see an error message when you try to save the site."

Also, setting the base directory is done when setting up the Transfer Site file server: see https://www.microfocus.com/documentation/rsit-gateway/8-5/admin-guide/initial-reflection-gateway-configuration/how-to.html#set-up-the-transfer-site-file-server

"In the New (or EditFile Server page, set Transfer site base directory to the directory you want to use for Transfer Site file exchange."

Regarding the proxyShell, since it is not our product, I can't provide any advice on it
