Thanks to you who attended our webinar January 28th on new Rocket Terminal Emulator. Q23: Does every Rocket TE user have to be added to Admin Console (we have anonymous users over the Web)?

If you're looking for user authentication, you would have to add all of them. You can also have anonymous users that don't go through any user authentication and in that case, you don't have to create them in the Administration Console. As required, you can continue to use anonymous users.

BlueZone Desktop and BlueZone Web-to-Host have now been combined under one name, Rocket Terminal Emulator (Desktop Edition). Rocket Terminal Emulator (Desktop Edition) can be deployed either by downloading and installing the executable directly on your PC (formerly BlueZone Desktop), or deploying the centrally configured executable from the Web server (formerly BlueZone Web-to-Host). The main difference is how the software is installed on your PC, offering you greater flexibility. Learn more about Rocket Terminal Emulator (Desktop Edition) here.

In recognition of the renaming of the solution and the ongoing investment in innovation in terminal emulation, as well as to streamline the numbering across our Desktop and Web editions, we have chosen to standardize on the 10.1.0 version number for both our editions.

Rocket Terminal Emulator (Web Edition) stores all session settings and user settings on the server. This allows a user to switch between devices with ease. The admin has broad control over allowing users control of their own settings, to allow users to create their own sessions, etc.

A user cannot modify the connection related settings for pre-defined sessions such as Session Type, Connection Type, TCP Host, TCP Port and Security Settings. The admin can grant different privileges to groups of users to modify various other settings such as creating their own sessions, customizing session settings, etc.
