Hi, I am using the Rumba Script command

EMWaitX 100, Result

The TIME LEFT box keeps showing 30 seconds, is there something else that needs setting.

Thank you

I don't know what the issue is, but could you try using EMWaitCursor or EMWaitText instead?

For instance, I use EMWaitCursor when waiting for some data to be sent and I know the location of the cursor afterwards.  I also then use EMReadScreen to make sure I'm on the correct screen and/or the data was sent properly.  Example:

EMSendKey varData

EMSendKey  "<Field_Plus>"

EMWaitCursor 15, 17, 13

EMReadScreen ScrnTxt,7, 24, 5

If ScrnTxt = "Invalid" Then

GoTo InvalidItem

Else

GoTo Col2:

End If

Just a snip it of some code I use.

Hi, I tested the EMWaitX and It's working as expected.

EMWaitX waits until the keyboard is unlocked or until the time times out.

1. I connect to my Mainframe and lock the keyboard.

2. Start below script

3. The timer starts

4. As soon I unlock the keyboard the timer stops and the function return 1

The function returns 1 if the keyboard is unlocked before the timeout, otherwise returns 0.

Tested with RUMBA 9.1 under Windows 8

Sub Main

  Dim Result As Integer

  EMWaitX  10, Result

  If  Result = 1 Then

     MsgBox "Keyboard is unlocked"

  Else

     MsgBox "Keyboard is locked"

  End If

End Sub

I guess that I see the problem.

In the code above I added

           EMSendKey "<Enter>"

before each of the

           EMWaitX 10, Result

Each Enter key generates the TIME LEFT box  with 30 seconds.

If the Keyboard is still locked then i get the 10 second EMWaitX box.

I am attempting to set up a script that will measure end to end response time for a user.

I need to make sure that enough time is specified for a really slow response.

I would like set it up to FTP, or Email me with the results after the script is run.

If anyone has done something like that please share.

Thank you to tjaustin and aescudero for you help
