Rumba client API file names.
Problem:
This KB article contains information on the Rumba Client API DLL file names, and also how to change these names.
Resolution:
The standard Client API names are as follows:
| API | 32-bit | 16-bit/16-bit thunking |
|---|---|---|
| APPC | WAPPC32.DLL | APPC.DLL |
| Service Verbs | WINCSV32.DLL | ACSSVC.DLL |
| CPI-C | WCPIC32.DLL | CPIC.DLL |
| LUA (RUI) | WINRUI32.DLL | ACSRUI.DLL |
Even though the names of the API DLLs are standard in the industry, there may be a need to use alternate names. A mechanism has been provided to enable the RUMBA SNA® Engine to recognize that an alternate DLL name is being used. You only need to rename the DLL for the particular API that you will be using.
Below is an example of how you could rename the API DLLs.
