Hello,


I am trying to use VBA to interact with Rumba from Excel.  When I try to use the ehlapi32 dll I get file not found.  I think that this is because the DLL is 32 bit and I am on a 64 bit version of Windows.  Is there any way to get the 32 bit DLL to work or is there a 64 bit version available for Rumba?

Hello rumba_user,

it sounds to me like Excel is unable to find the ehlapi32.dll in the %PATH%, can you check to see if "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Micro Focus\\RUMBA\\System" (or "C:\\Program Files\\Micro Focus\\RUMBA\\System" on a 32bit OS) appears in your %PATH%?

I checked my PATH settings and I do have the following two entries for Rumba and I am on 64 bit Windows 7.  I am still getting the same error in Excel.

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Micro Focus\\RUMBA\\

Hi rumba_user,

I'm a little puzzled why you can't find the .dll.

have you tried to hard code the path to the .dll in your declaration?

e.g.

Private Declare Function WD_ConnectPS Lib "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Micro Focus\\RUMBA\\System\\EhlApi32.dll" (ByVal hInstance As Integer, ByVal ShortName As String) As Integer

Doing that works for me also.

I had tried hard coding the path and it was still failing.  I just uninstalled and reinstalled Rumba and now it is working.  I had verified the file was there before so I don't know what changed but it works now.
