Problem:

When printing certain types of formatted documents from the AS/400, you may encounter an access violation in the Rumba AS/400 printer emulator.  These formatted documents are typically generated by third party software on the host.  When the problem occurs, there is no printed output, and the Rumba AS/400 printer emulator will close.  The error message “Unhandled exception at 0x6280c6ca in PRNSRVR.exe: 0xC0000005 Access violation” is generated.


 

Resolution:

This issue has been fixed in Rumba 8.0 hotfix 6685.  Please contact your Micro Focus Supportline representative to obtain this fix.
