We have just upgraded our AS400 to OSV7R1. When we attempt to connect to it to create a new ODBC linked table connection (via MS Access) we are receiving the following error: ODBC Call failed. [Micro Focus][Rumba Data Access][AS400DEV - MKTDTA]Communication link failure. APPC Primary RC = Parameter_Check; Secondary RC = Bad_Conv_ID. (#0). I am using driver RUMBA AS/400 Optimized Server (32bit) v 9.01.424.00.
Any suggestions?

I have run into the same error. As far as I know there have been no upgrades to the OS on our AS400. Any new attempts to add an ODBC connection to an Access 2010 database generate that error. However any previous connections that have been made and stored in Access still are able to Link to the tables on the AS400.

i haved same problem , is due to a parameter in the ODBC configuration under tab performance, remove the flag enable data pre-recall for query
