Rocket MultiValue

Is there a way to call both FlashBASIC subroutines (compiled using the "(o" option) as well as standard subroutines from a single BASIC programme? I can of course mirror the non-Flash ones, but that's a bit untidy. I can't just Flash the non-Flash ones, as they are used all over the place by other BASIC programmes. I need to use the Flash option for a socket sender subroutine.

We utilize &COMO& for logging process activities that are run in brackground.  This works great for our purpposes, and we can turn this feature Off/On by process in a control file record. However, on our Development machine, a number of records appear whose origin we cannot determine.  Here is an example (SLICE is possibly one of our U2 account names OR could be a test user's login): >CT &COMO&     SCHEDULER_SLICE_308680740001 COMO SCHEDULER_SLICE_30868074 established 11:07:20 05 DEC 2023 Notes: Our production system does not seem to get any of these. Where might we look to find a way to read Half inch file-save tapes from a C.Itoh pick system from late 80's early 90's.

I have two users who's internet connection seems to be causing issues. They're losing their connection constantly disrupting their work and leaving orphaned processes that use up their Universe Licenses. The problem is, they're planning on migrating off their Universe based system in February and don't want to spend the money to upgrade everyone. Is it possible to have only a few people connecting with AccuTerm 8 and the ReZume function while leaving everyone else on AccuTerm 7? Any idea on what the costs would be? Is ReZume priced separately?

Hi, In Visual Studio Code we have option to work on remote server with SSH, docker, WSL or Tunnel. For my purposes, the way to work via SSH is ideal. This functionality allows to work with the remote server as with a local computer (ref. https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/remote/ssh). I encountered an problem when I try to use the "Go to Definition" option. The extension tries to open the file by appending the project path to the absolute file path to the file: PROJECT_ROOT = '/myBigDisc/UV/REMACC'FILE_PATH = '/myBigDisc/UV/REMACC/helloWorld.B' The path that the extension tries to open when I navigate to the definition of this variable: /myBigDisc/UV/REMACC/myBigDisc/UV/REMACC/helloWorld.B PROGRAM helloWorld.B myFirstVariable = '' return end I also noticed some problems with "Map cataloged programs" and "includeMapping"Functionality of debugging, compilation and connections to the U2 server work properly Could you please advise how I can get this to work with remote-ssh? Hello, I have an Universe 11.3.1.6017 on a Windows Server 2019 installed from April 2023. All was ok. Since November 2023, uvsh.exe or uv.exe no longer works. Maybe after the last KB from Windows Update, but Im not sure. But uvapi (rest server) still works. When I try to connect in telnet, or trying to execute uvsh.exe / uv.exe in cmd, there is an error (see attachment) : "The Universe start up process has not yet completed. The use of Universe is currently disabled" I've checked : Universe log files : no information Eventvwr Universe traces : no informations UAC is totaly disabled Approbation mode is disabled I've tried the following solutions, without success :  Re-register licenses  Reboot server Relaunch Universe services With another local admin account (with very complex and very simple password) With another domain admin I'm out of ideas :( It's a production server, and it's not easy to reinstall Universe. Hi, I am using UODOTNET, Version=3.171.0.8100 in my Asp.net web API project to connect to Infolease. do we required "Microsoft SQL Server, ODBC and OLE DB Driver" to function properly. I would like to know if we uninstall the "Microsoft SQL Server, ODBC and OLE DB Driver" from the server, still UODOTNET works as before?

I am hoping someone can explain how Universe determines when, and from where, to load object code. What does Universe do when it has to call a subroutine. My experiments point to using a globally catalog subroutine as being faster than a locally catalog routine but I don't see why. I understand that with a local catalog the system must read the VOC to find the object location then load the object code, but once it is loaded it remains in memory for the duration of the program. Why would this be faster than a global catalog which must effectively do a similar thing. And regardless of how it is found and loaded, thereafter, the object remains in memory and there should be no difference in the cost of each subsequent call. Yet my testing shows a significant performance gain using a globally catalog subroutine. I believe a globally cataloged subroutine loaded to shared memory so multiple processes execute the same object code but each with there own memory space. Is that correct? What is t

Edit - can't reply for some reason. I am on UD 8 myself but they are on 7.3 with no upgrade coming anytime soon, so wholefile is out. File has gone all the way down to zero records several times and we're still at ~2M modulo. I have come to the conclusion that merging isn't a thing dynamic files do on this release, so am working this problem from another angle. These files don't have an optimal config, they've got a bunch of random stuff flowing through them. Unidata 7.3.7 Windows I need help understanding merging and dynamic files.   I have a file that I think should be merging, but it never does. Disk space is not a concern, I just need to get the modulo down to something reasonable. Normal state for this file is a low recordcount, but periodic updates push huge amounts of data to it temporarily. Converting it to static or changing it to a DIR-type file are both not options. Hi, We operate D3/Linux 10.2 in a VM that has 16Gb of RAM assigned to it. As our database is currently only 6.1 Gb in total, is there anyway to pre or force load the entire database into RAM rather than just waiting on it to be loaded during the normal course of use?  Vincent

Has anyone come across this error message before?  Is the number of files that can be open listed somewhere?  The application uses an openfile routine to keep track of the most recently opened file and assigns the file variable of the open file instead of opening it again.  The array in it may be too large and need to be reduced. I recently installed the Unidata personal edition, 8.2.4 (Windows installation).  I am now trying to connect to the server (localhost) with the "Administrator" account.  However, it tells me the Administrator account has expired. Is there is a different administrator account that I should be using?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello, I have a script to launch the  ACCUTERM GUI application from a shortcut in desktop but when the user closes the GUI application the ACCUTERM session is still active letting the user to play around, so the user has to close again the ACCUTERM session.  We need a script to launch the GUI application and when closing it also close ACCUTERM session so the user gets back to desktop screen.   I tried  the  following script but it is not working: .Output "RUN GUIBP GUIAPPLICATION" & ChrW$(13).WaitFor 0, 8, "o:" .Output "QUIT" & ChrW$(13) I will appreciate any advice.
