We use the WIN.LOOKUP subroutine often to provide pop-up boxes to allow for list selection by the user.  There is one main limitation for which we have not found a work around and have been trying for many years..  We are using v6.4.0.When the list exceeds 9 choices (and some of ours have 50+), we need the routine to allow for a 2-digit user entry.  Unfortunately, it will not, so to get to "85", a user must type "8" SEVEN times.  This shortcoming almost always causes entry errors and/or unnecessary  help-desk calls.Has anyone found a way to handle this requirement?  A different subroutine?  or is it just a limitation has has not ever been addressed?Appreciate any thoughts.------------------------------Nelson SchrothpresidentC3CompleteShop LLCHarrison OH US------------------------------

I am trying to install 11.3.4 to replace 12.1.1 . Wanted to wait for 12.2 but need to test the new performance tool and the exclusive use is causing us problems.But in the installation I get "Unable to execute the uvregen utility" . Hello!What are the system requirements to use VS Code? I just found that if you have enqueuing enabled on the primary ( FHB-ON (A ) and you also are logging all files ( FHB-ALLFILES-ON )  before using FSIHOTBACKUP to set up the primary queue ( FSIDM,FHB,P ), once you create the queue, an item with a null item ID is written to the FHB,P file along with two other items with the IDs 2 and 3. The presence of the null-item-ID item exposes a bug in the dequeuing mechanism on the secondary which manifests itself as a variable unassigned error in the fhb_GetQueueIndexes subroutine on the secondary server. The subroutine keeps looping around to the same error and dequeuing never starts.Engineering is aware and will be making some changes to the code, but in the meantime if you run into this, simply DELETE FSIDM,FHB,P "" and restart the secondary servers. Hello. Has anyone upgraded from Unidata 7.3.3 to 8.2.1 and saw a large increase in overall system memory usage? Especially in an AIX environment?We upgraded and went from 50 gig of real memory and 16gb of paging, with 1% paging to currently 130gb real memory  and increased paging to 80gb as a precaution after the system ran out of memory the days after the upgrade. We found an issue in OpenDB in which an attempt to manipulate an SQL table that only has a primary key and no additional columns fails. A known-issues post will be made in the Rocket Community OpenDB Downloads section as follows:Known Issues:OpenDB cannot be used against an SQL table that contains only a primary key and no other columns as this causes an error in the WHERE clause of the SELECT statement.This has only happened to one customer who worked around the issue by adding a dummy column to the table. I've never seen this before and seriously doubt I ever will again.One must ask one's self: "Why the heck would one have an SQL table with a primary key and no data?" Is there a best practice way to version python packages between production and testing UniData accounts on the same server? The .pth files load in the same order regardless of which account a user is in (which makes sense), and relative paths + environmental variables don't seem to be supported in .pth. Was hoping to be able to make and test changes to a package in a directory under the testing account and move to the production account only when ready, possibly updating a production package. We are in the middle of a project to convert our old RedBack Objects over to SOAP Web Services.  I was hoping someone might be able to provide some suggestions to get around some really user-unfriendly aspects of the tool. When launching the Explorer, is there any way to have it default the Navigator to the WSDL?  That is the only thing we use, but it defaults to the UDDI.  Once we switch to the WSDL, it requires it to be selected twice to get the WSDL URL prompt. Once you get to the WSDL URL prompt, is there anyway to get it to default to the End Point?  Every time, we have to copy/paste it from the properties tab.  Since the tool knows what it is, one would think this would have been a no-brainer default. Once an Operation has been chosen to test, we have not found a way to easily switch to another operation (maybe missing something).  The only way we have done it is to close the Explorer and endure #1 and #2 above all over again. We are in no position to switch to any newer "tool"
