Block comments are available in many programming languages and any lines of text between the start block and end block delimiters are considered part of the text. We are starting to use Markdown extensively in program headers for developer, modification history, program documentation, etc. It would be really helpful if U2 would implement this form of comment so that the Markdown text could be put in-line with the other documentation and we would not have to deal with leading comment marks.An example might look like this:​The '***' on line 26 denotes a divider line in Markdown. A simple program can then strip the Markdown area and throw it to a temporary file to be viewed in your favorite browser or printed to a pdf. VSCode already supports Markdown preview and editing. Note that you can embed links to outside web documentation, internal code control resources (like VSTS) or documents in your file system.I'd be curious to hear from the community if this would be helpful to others.------

hello uv's gurus, I'll share a strange behavior we encounter on Uv Windows.We run some phantoms as scheduler which performs actions on request.The phantom check what to do, execute it then wait for the next instruction.  It is restarted each 8 hours.---Sometimes, we encounter troubles at uniQUERY SELECT level, the select is 'pending', seems 'blocked' ...After 50 seconds of execution, we check the status via PORT.STATUS PID xxxx LAYER.STACK and we read the phantom is 'selecting'  - actual level of execution is 'Query' from uniBASIC EXECUTE CAPTURING Here is a sample stack - MI.SCHEDULER is the base program which CALL MI.SCHEDULER.CTRMI.SCHEDULER.CTR-- receive the job to do-- create a level EXECUTE MI.SUB which perform the task In this sample, we read SB.EXECUTE perform a EXECUTE query SELECT ARTICLES ...  PORT.STATUS PID 21448 LAYER.STACK Pid.... I have replication setup on a UV 11.3.1/Windows system from one account to another on the same box.  On the destination file, I have a trigger that goes through and cleans the data and creates a record in another file that I'm exporting to SQL Server via EDA.  However, when I change a source record that gets correctly replicated to the destination, my trigger is not running and the cleansed file is not being updated.I have RW_SKIP_TRIGGER=0 in repconfig according to the docs, but I keep getting this error in the logs:Sat Apr 24 15:34:33 repconfig at line 16: RW_SKIP_TRIGGER cannot turn off: Current release does not support this feature.What can I check?------------------------------Kevin KingPresidentPrecision Solutions, Inc.------------------------------

We are using UV 11.3.1 and have a .Net application using unirpc to access data from the host (on Linux). There's been a marked degradation in the time the .Net application takes to move from page to page over the last couple of months. I suspect it's an issue with the .Net application but I need to prove that the access on the host side is not causing the issue. G'day Brian, Thanks for the update. The reason why I couldn't join, was because MS decided to verify my account and the verification took 2 1/2 hours to arrive. By that time it was too late. Darrell found out out afterwards that the delay was between two of the MS servers. Sorry about that, but it is one of the reasons why we don't use MS products. This is, from my perspective, very technical and that is why we use Darrell for this sort of work. I am self taught and design system using data bases for our work. Connect to U2 MultiValue server and cache cataloged programs to local machine when necessary How do you do this?  All I've been able to do it copy an account from our dev server to my local machine, and then Open Folder on that account folder. I can connect to the dev server successfully, but don't seem to be able to interact with it? I am building an ODM/ORM for my system in Python. With the intent of making my queries and writes into UV more pythonic and easier to code (I am VERY lazy). For me this is primarily allowing read and writes to and from UV with a Python dictionary leveraging the readnamedfields() and writenamedfield() within the u2py.File class. While I have a specific issue below, I think there is room for a general discussion around u2Py error handling. My specific issue lies in getting "u2py.U2Error: (3) unknown " back in my trace. I am getting this error back when trying to write data to a record I have open in editor (so the file is locked). While I would expect to get an error here, I would also expect that error to be a little more descriptive of what the issue is. I have a couple questions that should hopefully give me a good path forward here...1. Are there plans to improve the u2Py module's error handling in the near term future? 2.
