Problem:

When debugging in Server Express 4.0 (up to ServicePack2) running Linux RedHat, the following errors occur as a result of the SMP kernel. How can this be resolved:

Execution error : file '/usr/microfocus/cobol/dynload/animchr.lbr/dispatch.gnt'

error code: 114, pc=0, call=1, seg=0

114 Attempt to access item beyond bounds of memory (Signal 11)

Resolution:

Using a non-SMP kernel will work, however, this problem has been solved in FixPack 40.03_62 for Server Express 4.0 SP2 running Linux which was released 16 July 2006.
