Hi!

I am using NetExpress 5.1 with VS2005

Suddenly, I have started getting error (Message box with "Visual Studio" as header)

'count' cannot be non-negative.
Parameter name: count

when I press to go to new line while typing code.

I click on OK, and cursor goes to 1st char of next line, and not below 1st character of previous line.

I have tried un-installing and re-installing NetExpress 5.1 but no luck.

Any help with this will be most welcome, since I have a project to complete, and typing code has become near-impossible with this error.

Thanks in advance

Net Express 5.1 works with Visual Studio 2008 not Visual Studio 2005 so I am assuming a typo there.

Does this error occur even if you create a new project and begin editing code or does it seem to be related to this one specific project?

Try doing a repair on Visual Studio 2008 from Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs.

What wrappack level are you on for Net Express 5.1?
Open Net Express IDE and select Help-->About Net Express.
What is the full version number?

If the problem persists then you should open up an incident with your local Supportline office as we will most likely need you to send us the project in question so that we can try to reproduce the problem.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

The problem occurs with new projects also.

I will try to repair VS, but I will be able to do this over the weekend only.

I will also check the other details and give you a full feedback on Monday.
