This article explains what to do if a dictionary invalid error occurs when compiling a large program.

Problem:

When compiling a large program with a simple cob –u we get the followiong error:

912-S Internal error - Dictionary invalid r/w MULTISCREEN@ Inform Technical Support.

Resolution:

Check that there is sufficient space in /tmp. If /tmp has lots of cob* files directories, delete those and then try again.
