With Internet access

In order to install a license on your UNIX machine, you will first need to open the license manager by navigating to the following directory: /var/microfocuslicensing/bin/

Then you will run: cesadmintool.sh

After ‘Enter Option’, enter option ‘1’

Enter the 16 digit authorisation code which you should have received with your product or from a previous revoke and click enter.

To double check that the license has been installed or to check on the status of any other licenses installed, go back to the main menu and enter option 2 (Check License Status)

Without Internet access

If you do not have Internet access, you will have to authorise manually by either generating a license string yourself, or contacting supportline@microfocus.com to do this for you

You can generate a license string yourself using the following link http://supportline.microfocus.com/activation/

Here, you will be asked to enter:

• Your authorisation code which you should either have received in you Electronic Product Delivery or from Support. If you do not know your authorisation code, please contact support.
• Your old machine ID. On Unix this can be found by selecting Option 6 (Get Machine ID)
• Your corporate email address

Copy the string you have received into a text file and save it to your machine. Enter Option 4 (Manual License Installation), enter the path to the .txt file and then enter Option 2 (Check License Status) to double-check if the license is shown.
