All,

We are upgrading our NetExpress version from 3.1 to 5.1. In the process we found old code from a purchased company that did not match the source. Therefore, we cannot re-compile the code and use as a 5.1 gnt. This is a system that we are waiting for the records to slowly be moved off, so we don't want to put a lot of time into finding what source was lost.

In that light, is there any way for 5.1 to call 3.1 gnts? When I use a command line run I get the 165 error, but when I run from animator it appears to call the module. Why would this be?

Also, are there any tools on the market or does MicroFocus offer de-compiling of gnt modules so we could get the pseudo-source back?

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give. We are in a bind and don't want to spend a lot of time trying to re-write a module that we inherited in an acqusition

Why not try to wrap the old 3.1 gnt to be called from a 3.1 dll and call that dll from 5.1
