Problem:

When executing cob –V the following error is returned:

Resolution:

The environment variables COBDIR, LD_LIBRARY_PATH/LIBPATH and PATH are set correctly. Even though you have this issue, compiling a COBOL program using correct parameters for the cob command does work correctly. This issue was correct by deleting the contents of $COBDIR and reinstall the product.
