Hi
I want all my developers using Net Express to share(Basically one) as their Debug/Release Folders.
They have projects in different folders and have there own Debug and Release folder.
Is there any environment Variable which i set in netexpress so that they all can have one Debug and release folders
Thanks and regards
Cheeta
I'm not sure I follow you.
Are you referring to having Net Express users running on different workstations all placing their compiled applications into a common folder on a server to which they all have access?
This could cause problems if they are building the same projects as they would overwrite each others output and if one user was debugging the application then another would not be allowed to overwrite the file with a build and other sharing issues.
If they are all using different projects with different output files then you can change the output folder in the IDE under Projects-Types of Build and then click on the build type and enter the folder name where you want the files to go.
It might be better to actually output the files to separate locations and then copy them to a common folder after the build, look under Projects-->Deployment for this option.
If you want different users to share the same source files etc., then you really should look into using a Source Code Control System like SourceSafe or PVCS.
