Problem:
Customer runs Fileshare as a service on 2 separate machines. The name of the Fileshare service is the same on each machine. Since installing WS03, whichever Fileshare is started last gets and error:
FS077-S A Fileshare Server of the same name has already been defined - the Fileshare Server is closing down.
Resolution:
Go to ES Admin > Configure > Options > General and uncheck 'Generate UDP Broadcast Search Requests' on all machines.
This will prevent the Fileshare Server from broadcasting its presence to other MF Directory Servers and will allow Fileshare Servers of the same name to run on separate machines.
