I have tried to create a web application for first time under cobol (netexpress) but i could not continue, because this message [ form designer requires microsoft internet explorer 4.01 or greater to installed on this machine...
form designer can not continue] , and i am already have internet explorer on my system]
is any one can help me.

What version and wrappack level of Net Express are you using?

In the Net Express IDE select Help-->About Net Express and then tell me what the full version number is.

If you are using an older version of Net Express you may have to either upgrade to the latest release or downgrade your version of IE to a previous version.

You should also check to make sure that you are at the most current wrappack level for the version that you are using as I know that this problem was fixed in versions as far back as 4.0 I believe.

The Operating System [Windows XP 5.1 build 2600 service pack 3]

This is the base release for Net Express 5.0 which is very old.

You will need to upgrade this to the latest wrappack level for Net Express 5.0 which is wrappack 5.
