Hi,

We have GDG with the scratch limit as 99. But we have seen that the GDG biases are getting overwritten even before the maximum limit is reached.

For example, If we have 10 biases present and now when the job runs it should create 11th one. But it is not creating the 11th ! Instead, it is overwriting the 2nd or 3rd version. And when  the job runs after this, version 12th is getting created. It seems so wierd and we have lost data because of this !!I don not understand why is this happening !!

Can anyone help me on  this?

Thanks in advacne!

Which COBOL product and version number are you using?

The question appears to be related to JCL processing so I am assuming that this is either Studio Enterprise Edition or Enterprise Developer?
If you can tell me the product name then I can repost under the correct product forum and your chances of getting a valid response will increase.

I found the following documentation under Enterprise Developer docs:

Perhaps it is relevant to the behavior you are experiencing?

Thanks
