Problem:
How can you disable the Keyboard BEEP in a Character Dialog screenset ?
When you enter the maximum number of characters in a field a BEEP is output to notify the user that there has been an error.
Resolution:
You can configure this behavour in the Dialog DSDEF.CFG config file. To disable the BEEP on end of field you need to add NOBEEP-EOF.
There are also options NOBEEP-EOS and NOBEEP-INVALID which turn off BEEPs on end of screen and invalid keys respectively.
