Problem:
Net Express 5.1 fails to start from the shortcut and from the command line with MFNETX.EXE and reports an access violation on CFGMGR32.DLL.
It may also report an access violation on RTUTILS.DLL.
Resolution:
If none of the following fixes the problem:
- applying the latest WrapPack (or Update)
- repairing Net Express from Programs and Features in Control Panel
- reinstalling Net Express
then it would be worth to make sure that the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) setting in Windows is set to "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only", not to "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select"
