Hi, I am using Net Express 3.1.

Dialog System gives C++ error on my Windows 11 computer.

I get this error when I want to create a copybook.

The same problem occurred when migrating from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

The problem was fixed with later Windows updates.

Has anyone encountered this problem?

Is there a solution to the problem?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Microfocus tell us that only Netexpress5.1 is running on Win10 or Win11!

Netexpress 5.0 will run on win10, also on win11 with any exceptions, this is my experience!

How can i help you?

Hello Greiner,

Currently, I can use Net Express 3.1 version on Windows 10 without any problems. Even my activex plugins do not cause problems. I am planning to upgrade to Visual Cobol as my clients are requesting web based program. However, I need to be able to use it on Windows 11 in order to support my existing programs. This is not my main problem though as I will somehow be promoted to Visual Cobol. However, if there is a solution, I would like to use it.

Kind regards,

Salim, where do you live/work? Can you send a mail at cgreiner@cgcs.de

or a private message!

you can ask microfocus for a trial version of visual cobol 8.0 or a personal edition, here you can only compile programs under 2200 lines of code!
