Problem:
Net Express install displays message that application server is installed.
Resolution:
To workaround this error message when attempting to install Net Express 4.0, the following needs to be done:
Using the REGEDIT tool, rename:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Currrent Version\\Uninstall
to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Currrent Version\\Uninstall-temp
Start the Net Express 4.0 setup.
When the first setup screen is displayed, rename the key back to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Currrent Version\\Uninstall
Continue the setup.
