Problem:
NetExpress 5.1 not printing in Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate
(Assumption is made that a default printer has been defined, and that it is connected to a USB port, not a legacy LPT parallel port)
Resolution:
In Vista, right-click on the NetExpress 5.1 icon, select "Properties", select "Compatibility Mode", and select "Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)". Click "OK". NetExpress should now print on USB printer.
