only one screen in use debugging /4

hi friends , While debugging a cobol program when i am doing /4 on a variable to monitor its value it is showing me the error only one screen in Use I am new to cobol World .Please tell me if need to do some environment setting.I am working on server express 5.1 and rhel os.

I am not sure what you mean by /4 option when debugging.

The documentation for using the Animator under Server Express 5.1 can be found here.

If you are still having a problem then you should really open up an incident with Micro Focus Customer Care.

by /4 i mean monitor a varaible that is F4
i have read the documentation but didnt find anything related to it and also no help from google

Hi,

The F4 option to monitor a variable is only available from the Query data-name menu. You can either move the cursor over the variable which you wish to monitor and hit q(uery) c(ursor), or hit q(uery) e(nter name) and enter the name of the variable in the text box.

Once the value of the variable is displayed, you can *then* hit F4 (or / 4) to monitor the variable.

F4 from the main animator menu is for switching between screens when in split screen mode.
