This article addresses an "Invalid license key. License not installed" error during a reinstall of Application Server.

Problem:

A reinstall of Application Server resulted in a license is not accepted "Invalid license key. License not installed" error message. How is this resolved?

Resolution:

To resolve this licensing message simply uninstall Application Server and delete the registry key hkey_local_machine > software > micro focus > aslmf . Then reboot the machine and reinstall Application Server with the serial number and license key provided with the product.
