Currently we (Centric IT Solutions, division HR & Payroll Solutions in Amsterdam) use NetExpress 4.0.
NetExpress 4.0 will not run on a Windows 7 machine (64 bits) as I heard. And shortly all our machines will be Win7-64 bits. So now we want to use NetExpress 5.1, as this version of NetExpress will run on Win7.
Is NetExpress 5.1 backwards fully compatible with projects and files made in NetExpress 4.0?
How do we get NetExpress 5.1? Who do we have to contact at MicroFocus to get NetExpress 5.1?
What are the costs of this upgrade?
We have five licences.

You really need to contact Micro Focus Sales for pricing etc., but if you are currently on maintenance for all 5 of your Net Express licenses then you can simply request an upgrade to the current version (which is 5.1) at no cost.

You can do this through sales or you can do this on the supportline site of microfocus.com at:

Product Updates

Click the link to Request Latest Version.

You can also call supportline and we will do this for you.

Net Express 5.1 will work with projects and source from Net Express 4.0.
You will have to recompile all of your projects.

You will also need to upgrade your Application Server 4.0 products to Server 5.1 as the new run-time files and License Manager will be required to run the 5.1 applications in production.

Thanks.
