Problem:

When using remote desktop and all that can be seen is the desktop on the task manager applications.

Resolution:

CNTL ALT DEL will not get you the task manager for the remote system.

CNTL ALT END will give you the task manager of the remote testop connection.

CNTL ALT INS will give you the task manager of a VMWare machine.
