Problem:

We are unable to start animating our program in Net Express.  What should we do?

Resolution:

This problem is due to permissions set in the registry. These have to be checked and compared with the following:

In Windows 7 run REGEDIT and navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Wow6432Node\\Micro Focus\\NetExpress\\5.1\\COBOL

The permissions should be by default:

CREATOR OWNER: Allow - Special Permissions
SYSTEM: Allow - Full Control and Read
ADMINISTRATORS: Allow - Full Control and Read
USERS: Read

In Windows XP run REGEDIT and navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Micro Focus\\NetExpress\\5.1\\COBOL

The permissions should be by default:
