Is it possible to execute mysql commands within a cobol program? Ex, insert, update delete.
We are currently using net express 5.1 and executing cobol programs in a linux environment.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

As MySQL provides an ODBC interface, you can use OpenESQL technology to execute EXEC SQL statements against the database.

See the Database Access Guide under the Net Express documentation for further details. We also provide some OpenESQL samples under the Examples\\Net Express IDE\\ODBCESQL directory.

Kind regards,
Simon.
