OpenQM for personal use

Yes. Any version of OpenQM can be installed with a “Personal” licence. This means that when you get to the product registration screen during the install, you type:  “personal” (without the quotes) in the licence number field.

You will need to contact Rocket to get a copy of the software.

If you don’t mind an OLD version of the software, OpenQM was released under a GPL licence about 20 years ago. That was a linux-only 32-bit version, and you should still be able to find a copy on the web.

ScarletDME was forked from that release and converted to 64-bit: https://scarlet.deltasoft.com/index.php/Main_Page

String Database was forked from OpenQM and has had further modification: https://www.stringdatabase.com/  SD64 is very easy to install.

Both of those options are Linux only.

There was … it was v3.4.9 both 32 & 64-bit flavors; I started using in 2016 across Win7, Win8, Win10.  I recently went on the quest for a Linux version (darn it … I should have downloaded that as well back in 2016), and it appears there is a successor called “Scarlet” (Google “scarlet db” for a plethora of links).  I seem to recall there is a project out there (possibly on github).  Sorry couldn’t give you more details, I’m an old (literally aged) PICK R77/Microdata REALITY/REVELATION guy, and OpenQM was so promising for us hobbyists, and teaching folks about the technology. Thanks for the information. In my research, I came across Scarlet DB. I worked with D3 for 25 years and became a MultiValue enthusiast, but things changed at the company where I worked. I’m going to look into Scarlet DB. Thanks for the information. Best of luck to you!
