Epson receipt printer

Our POS system is written in RM/COBOL.  We are using old Ithaca receipt printers.  Ithaca is no longer making receipt printers.  I need to modify our system so that it will handle both Ithaca and Epson printers.  I am having issues translating the old Ithaca control codes to the Epson ESC/POS proprietary command system codes.  Does anyone have any examples of COBOL using the Epson receipt printers?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
