This article provides information regarding the Electronic Software Delivery emails.
Problem:
If you opt to receive your Liant license and product media electronically, you will receive multiple emails from Micro Focus Distribution. This article contains information regarding the content of these emails.
Resolution:
License Certificate Emails:
You will receive one license certificate email for each product that you have purchased. For example, if you purchase the RM/COBOL Development System and a Relativity Data Server, then, you will receive two license certificate emails.
The license certificate email will contain an attached license certificate file (*.lic). This file should be saved onto the machine targeted for installation.
Product Media Download Emails:
Product Media Download Emails contain links to download installation media and installation guides for your purchased product. You will receive one Product Media Download Email for each order. The installation media download links are only good for 14 days after an order has been shipped (emailed).

- Installation Guide to Installing a ISO Image - This is a link to documentation regarding how to install from a downloaded ISO CD image.
- ISO CD Image - This link allows you to download an gunzip tar archive containing an ISO CD image of the installation media for your product. The ISO CD image contains the installation media for all supported platforms for the product. For more information regarding ISO CD images, please see the following article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_image.
- Self-Extracting Executable (Windows) - This link allows you to download a self-extracting executable archive(*.exe) containing only the installation media for your licensed platform. If you do not require the installation media for multiple platforms, then, this is the only file that you have to download in order to install your purchased product.
- Gunzip Tar Archive (Unix) - This link allows you to download a gunzip tar archive (*.tar.gz) that contains only the installation media for your licensed platform. If you do not require the installation media for multiple platforms, then, this is the only file that you have to download in order to install your purchased product.
- Installation Guide to Installing a gunzip tar file - This is a link to documentation regarding how to install from a downloaded gunzip tar archive.
- Installation Guide to Installing a self-extracting exe file - This is a link to documentation regarding how to install from a downloaded self-extracting executable archive.
- EULA - This is a link to a PDF file containing the Micro Focus End User License Agreement.
