Hi to Everybody

The OS is Windows Server 2022 and I'd like to know if I can use the Instantsql version 12.17 that comes with rmcobol 32 bits with ODBC drivers 64 Bits. If not is there any available Instantsql version for 64 bits. Can I buy only that one.

Dear Humberto,

Short answer:  the entire chain, from runcobol to ODBC driver, has to be 64-bit, or 32-bit, but not a combination.

First, make sure that the target database does not have a 32-bit ODBC driver.  Depending on the communication architecture of the database and the ODBC driver(s), it is possible to have a 32-bit driver communicate (typically using a TCP/IP port) with a 64-bit database.  (Relativity uses this architecture, for example.)  

If you need 64-bit, the solution on the COBOL side is to license a 64-bit runtime.
