Attempting to launch the Web to Host configuration wizard on Windows Vista gives the error message: "No valid extensions are available for configuration!".
Problem:
When attempting to access a local installation of Web to Host on a Windows Vista PC the following error is encountered:
‘No valid extensions are available for configuration!’
Resolution:
This is a result of the MIME type changes noted below and documented by Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;326965
For some reason .htpl files are not recognized by IIS server. After adding *(text/plain) to MIME types on IIS server, those files are read correctly.
