The Personal Edition should be the same as the GA release, and from the 8.2.4 release notice on the PAM this should be 1.1.1n.

Please check using the FULL PATH (relative or absolute) to execute the openssl binary shipped with UniData using openssl version at an O/S command prompt. I would expect 1.1.1n unless you are picking up a different version from the current PATH environment variable.

For all 8.2.4 releases the openssl version shipped with UniData is 1.1.1n

From one of our windows servers  running 8.2.4

C:\\u2\\ud\\bin>openssl version
OpenSSL 1.1.1n  15 Mar 2022

From one of our UNIX servers running 8.2.4

# pwd
/disk1/ud82/bin

# openssl version
OpenSSL 1.1.1n  15 Mar 2022

If you are showing 3.0.1 then something else has installed that on your system as no version of UniData (or UniVerse) is shipped with anything higher than 1.1.1n.

Check your O.S.  $PATH environment variable - you could also use 'where openssl' on Windows or 'which openssl' on UNIX to determine which binary you are picking up,
