Is the accuterm documentation available online here in the Rocket site?

I am attempting to FTD data into a spreadsheet where a given column is a calculation.

Example column a divided by column b placed into column c.

I can put the expression into the data field I will download and the expression executes BUT the data filled in the excel sheet is the result. I want the formula to be loaded into that column, not the result. The display should look the same BUT with the expression in the field, where changing column a or b alters column c automatically.

Does anyone know how this could be accomplished?

I checked the online access to the documentation and although accuterm (and jbase) appear on the search, when you go to the linked documentation page nothing is present. I will drop a note to the internal teams to see if they can get this sorted out so that you can download it.

Kathleen,

There is no separate documentation for AccuTerm FTD that I am aware of.

All documentation is supplied with the product and is available via the AccuTerm "Help" menu – "Help -> Documentation -> User Manual" and therefore already downloadable.

In the User Manual, there is a section called "MultiValue File Transfer" and a link to downloading files. From that section there are also links to "configuration" settings and "options".

Hope that helps.

If not, then an email to support@zumasys.com would currently be required for further support.

Thanks Mike for the information. I have already tried those two places and
still have questions, it's in my nature :) I was hoping someone would step
up who uses this feature extensively so that I could ask my q;s and learn
some tricks. Doesn't seem like that's going to happen. Having used
Wintegrate for so long, this is a REALLY great feature in Accuterm.

Thanks again!

This response was recently posted to the AccuTerm (Asent) forum by Pete Schellenbach and is replicated here :

I was able to use FTD to create an Excel worksheet with a formula. Here's what I did, so you can try it.
Using the PROD.SAMPLE sample data file in the ACCUTERM account, I added a new dictionary item named FORMULA with an Excel formula as a constant:
:CT DICT PROD.SAMPLE FORMULA
DICT PROD.SAMPLE FORMULA
01: S
02: 0
03: OUNCES
04:
05:
06:
07:
08: A;'=INDIRECT("C" & ROW())*16'
09: R
10: 12
Here is the FTD command:
:FTD

AccuTerm Data Transfer Utility

(S)end, (R)eceive, (C)onfigure, (O)ptions, (H)elp or (E)xit ? S

File transfer protocol: (A)SCII or (K)ERMIT ? K

Enter source (PICK) file name: PROD.SAMPLE

Enter source (PICK) item list: *

Enter target (DOS) file name (d:\\directory\\file.ext): C:\\TMP\\TEST.XLSX

Attributes to transfer: UPC DESC GROSS.WGT FORMULA

Generate Header Record (<Y>/N/C): Y

Explode MultiValue Fields (Y/<N>): N

Converting TEST.XLSX to Excel file format... done.

Transfer status: Successful transfer.
Transferred 4 items, 254 bytes.
The Excel worksheet accepts the formula in column D, and changing the value in column C causes column D to recalculate.
