I recently upgraded a customer's UniVerse to 11.3.5 and am ready to install a new AccuTerm 8 server account.  I am unable to figure out how to create that ACCUTERM account.  I'm used to Unix and Linux menus to create an account but on winndows I cannot find such a menu or a "CREATE.ACCOUNT" verb in the UV VOC.  I vaugely remember a windows administration program, but can't remember it's name and don't know where to find it.  I tried copying the XDEMO account and entering an ACCUTERM item in the UV.accounts file but that didn't work.  Unless I can get the ACCUTERM account established, I'm afraid the server side of AccuTerm won't work.

Hi Dale,

The XADmin tool should provide the ability to create or delete a UniVerse account. You could also do the following:

  • Create the account folder at the DOS level.
  • Go to that folder and execute the 'uv' command.
  • You will get a prompt about creating a new account and specifying flavor.
  • Once that is done, you can add an entry to the UV.ACCOUNT file with the appropriate account name and the path to account in field 11.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

Neil
