Hi all,

We have a problem with the spooler counter, once a month we make the Data Base Maintenance, before we start we use the MASTER OFF ALL to close all the sesions of universe in the server, sometimes when we do that , the spooler counter loose the consecutive and jump to a bigger number.

What we can do to avoid this?

Thanks for your ideas.

Greetings Jose,

What database and Operating system are you using?

I don't know if I've seen jumps in the spool sequence number. I have seen old uv spool files cause printing failure upon trying to reuse the sequence of a uv file that still exists in UVSPOOL. I don't know if my system files were being held or if they didn't get cleaned up for unknown reasons.

Are you monitoring the spool queue sequence numbers or just missing prints?

Thanks,
Mike
