Good morning.  I am a contractor and have been working in multi-value systems since February of 1980.  I have two customers in the Nashville area for whom I have worked for over twenty years.  Both of them look at me and recognize that I'm an old man and their only support for their systems.  Each is a local government department.  For one I have provided reservation/registration and for the other a highway department management system.  My highway department, to cover their future, is considering a vastly inferior system from the University of Tennessee.  I would like to find someone to back me up in providing maintenance and additional development for their UniVerse on Centos 8 system.  All the code is in basic with some AccuTerm getting integrated and all code is resident on both customers servers.  The highway department includes equipment scheduled maintenance, road job and requests management and costing, purchasing and inventory control.  If there is anyone out there who would consider being a resource for these customers I would sure like to hear from you.  You can respond on the forum or contact me at dalekelley@dalewkelleyinc.com.  By the way, for anyone who may have their own opportunities in either of these business areas or others that are in my stable I am happy to provide all code, files and dictionaries at no cost.  I treat all my stuff as open source.  Thanks for your consideration.

Dale,

Circle Commerce (and its predecessors) created a solution that we currently use in the ERP market - but we structured our software originally for both (a) the dealer market, and (b) the ability for each solution to be customized/adapted to specific markets or customers. In Q1 or Q2 of 2024 we will be going to the UV market with our solution, which totally separates the "core" (like a system builder) from the application. We had good success taking a large college bookstore system, all built in "raw basic", and putting the code into our framework, which can then deliver many current and future benefits.

In the shorter term of course, we have a team that could potentially provide the backup you are looking for - and if the customer was looking for a mid to longer term solution, that would retain all of their data and business rules, but provide access to a .NET desktop client, and mobile/web applications built in Blazor (all working with the existing business rules and data, no mondo front end development needed) - this could be a good option for them.

Happy to give you a tour of how Circle works at any time.
