Monday marks the pick Julien calendar roll from the 10 to 20 thousands. I'm sure most of you remember when we PICK folk went from four digits in our internal dates to five, back in 1995.
Since then I've managed to create an entire additional adult human, as well as create umpteen lines of code.
I felt the occasion was worth notice. Anyone have any anecdotal stories of that eventful day?

At this time, I worked on Pick AP, and I remember I worked on our 'year 2k bug' because many dict read date from timestamp not delimited on date/time.
I especially remember 12/31/1999 and no year 2k bug ... we had experienced it on May 18, 1995 :-)
Regards.

Oh the fun: while changing the code and converting the existing data to be delimited fields was easy, we had to work out what had been incorrectly processed and write code to both identify and undo /redo the affected data and rerun reports.
Y2K was a much-anticipated non-event, though the Julian dates did have some nuances I recall with pure numerically entered dates and ICONV/OCONV functionality
