Hi,
Is there anyone successfully monitoring pool users. That is using the LISTUSER command or any other utility.
I can see in LISTUSER the USRTYPE column displays pooled but which account is it connecting to. This is UNIDATA 8.3.1

Hi Darren,
Rocket MultiValue Performance Experience (MVX) v1.10 with UniData 8.3.2 offers three events that monitor connection pools: 1) High Connection Pool License Usage 2) Connection pool request processing time and 3) Connection pool refused connections. Once MVX is installed, you can set up email notifications for when these event trigger. Also, you can adjust the trigger thresholds to meet your needs. MVX offers over 40 events.
If you are interested in demo of MVX, I'll be happy to meet with you.

Thanks for that. Does MVX support which Account the Connection pool is connected to?
That's my issue, I have multiply login accounts connection pools are assigned to

Yes, it works on Universe 11.3.4 or higher, but not v 12, and will not be supporting UV 14 for a while.

Hi Darren,
I use 'lsof' (although on UniVerse) filtering on UserID and Command and outputting the Current Working Directory (CWD) and File Descriptor 4 (IP of initiating endpoint)
Example:
lsof -c uvapi_slave -a -u {Service UserID}[,{Service UserID},...] -d cwd,4
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE/OFF NODE NAME
uvapi_sla 7890 srvacct cwd DIR 128,0x17003 110592 29 /data/TESTACCOUNT
uvapi_sla 7890 srvacct 4u IPv4 0xe0000017f0243a00 0t0 TCP uvserver.local:31438->1.2.3.4:41562 (ESTABLISHED)
uvapi_sla 4567 srvacct cwd DIR 128,0x17003 110592 29 /data/TESTACCOUNT
uvapi_sla 4567 srvacct 4u IPv4 0xe000001af761bc80 0t0 TCP uvserverlocal:31438->1.2.3.5:59046 (ESTABLISHED)
From this you can see which UV/UD account your service UserID's are logged in to and where the connection was initiated from, if you don't have dedicated Connection Pool service UserID's then you could always use LISTUSER to obtain the PID of the process of interest and then use:
lsof -p {PID} -d cwd,4
I don't have UniData and not sure what OS you're running on so not able to give you exact examples but hopefully some useful pointers.

If your version of UniData DataBasic on Windows supports USERINFO() in the same was as UniVerse on UNIX,
you could look at the results of USERINFO(1, PID, RESULTS)
where RESULTS is a Dynamic array detailing Port, UID, PID and Current Working Directory amongst other fields, use that with your original LISTUSER output
