We've just moved to a new server running RedHat 7 with UV 11.3.1.6022. A program that was running properly on the old system is failing on the new in a line attempting to start access to an XML file. The message we se is as follows:
SDN001: 119: MSL.STATUS = PrepareXML(INPUT.FILE,SDN_XML)
:: S
Program "SDN001": Line 119, Can't load "/u1/uv/bin/libu2icudata.so.50": /u1/uv/b
in/libu2icudata.so.50: file too short
When I checked the path in /u1/uv/bin, I see the following:
-rwxrwxrwx. 1 root wnb 0 May 25 10:05 libu2icudata.so
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root wnb 15 Oct 28 2020 libu2icudata.so.50 -> libu2icudata.so
Interestingly, I don't see either of these files anywhere on the old server. Anyone else run into similar?
TIA

Hi Jeff,
It looks like the libu2icudata.so file may been corrupted somehow on May 25th and set to 0 length?
I checked the 11.3.1.6022 Linux release and the libu2icudata.so file should look as follows:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 svnsrc unisrc 20789988 Aug 28 2018 libu2icudata.so
You might want to pull that file down again from the 11.3.1.6022 release media.
I'm assuming the old server was also running a different version of UniVerse?
Thanks,
Neil

Thanks, Neil!
I will copy it over from another recent install of the same version. I checked for other files in the bin folder that were at zero bytes and found that several, all in the 'libu2icu' group, were also zero... Curious!
