Does anyone on the forum, have any information concerning Rocket U2 Application Developer Certification for new developers. This would include coursework, exams, etc. I have not been able to find anything on Rocket’s site concerning that topic.   Thank you in advance.

Hi Tim! If you’re asking about a study guide, there’s not an official one.

The best path is more development experience.
It can get dry, but reading the UV Basic commands manual and putting stuff into practice helps quite a bit.

Not sure if it would be helpful, but you can also check out https://learn.rocketsoftware.com/. There’s a Rocket MultiValue section there.

It has been reported that Rocket Software supports the following certifications:  Rocket U2 Application Developer, Rocket UniVerse Administration, and Rocket UniData Administration. I have interacted with peers that hold at least one of these certifications. Now I am trying to find where these formal certification programs exists; perhaps they are no longer supported? IF, I hire new junior developers out of University and want to engage them into a certification program to have them achieve a core level of knowledge and to be recognized for it (certified), it doesn’t appear Rocket is currently supporting these paths any longer. If we are to promote this to the next generation of developers we really should have something in place that is more than just a number of manuals loosely organized with no clear stated path of action to take.

Hi Chris. Long time no hear. So back in the day at Market America, I recall that you and a few others had added the moniker of Certified IBM U2 Developer to your emails denoting you had perhaps, gone through a certification process/learning path. So there is nothing at Rocket that emulates that now? Thx in advance.
