Hi All,
Is there any way we can sync the publisher and subscriber, we know there is a sync command which is sometimes helpful but doesn't help us when the replication system is DISABLED.

Hello!
Folks in this group might know a better/more efficient way, but whenever we have had to completely re-synchronize systems from scratch we have done the following:
* stop replication
* clear the folders that hold the replication data on all the systems
* pause the database(s) on the publisher
* take a backup of the publisher database(s)
* unpause the publisher database(s)
* start replication on the publisher, with the subscriber suspended
* restore the subscriber database(s) from the backup image
* unpause (sync) the subscriber
This gets interesting when the subscriber is at a remote location and the back image(s) have to be copied around. Depending on the size of the databases and whether or not the systems are close (or have decent bandwidth between them), you might be able to do network copies instead of backups. For us, doing backups, copying the backup images, and doing restores, took less time. It also ensured that we didn't miss any file permissions settings at the OS level that might get lost/changed during a network copy.
Hope this helps,
Brian

If replication is disabled, the systems will need to be resynchronised, the first thing you need to work out is why the replication disabled in the first place to avoid the costly procedures involved with performing a resync in the future. The procedure for a resync are covered in the manual. I've attached the latest replication admin guide but it is also available online.
