Greetings Rocketeers!

We are on WIndows, preparing to move from Universe 11.xxx to 14.xxx

Have any of y’all made this upgrade recently?  Were there any functional issues after upgrading?  Is there a test plan available anywhere we could get our hands?

Many THX,

I’ve done it several times for clients over the last few weeks and had no issues whatsoever. We didn’t do anything special other than making sure that our custom VOC entries were put back in place after the VOC updates.

Good Morning, Diane!

Appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Quick question, were your clients on a Windows platform, moving from UniVerse 11.x.x to UniVerse 14?

THX!

~Doc

Dianne Ackerman

Yes, exactly. Different WIndows OS versions, but all moving from 11..X.X to 14.1.1

@Dianne Ackerman Did you actually have to put back some custom VOC entries that were overwritten? If so, were these standard UniVerse VOC items that were modified for that client?

Dianne Ackerman

Yes. We had security subroutines on several VOC items, such as LOGTO and DELETE.FILE. During the update, those were moved to &TEMP& in each account and we had to copy them back in afterwards.

I have done this many times. There are a lot more UV system options you will have to figure out if you want them on. The only VOC item we have to change is ED become AE.
