The Weird OS Built Around a Database

I still have my Pick Systems ball cap and letter opener from when I visited Pick Systems way-back-when tryng to get some major issues affecting us in 2.1b fixed. I also remember a demonstration of the foot pedal with AP on (I think) an IBM RT 6150. 

I have been with the Pick Database since 1985 and have experienced all that this video talks about.  I saw the GraphPick demo in a Pick conference sometime in the early 90's. Back them I was blown away by how easy you can create a GUI window that knew the PICK database. I magine if Dick Pick would have agreed with the company that developed the  GraphPick, the video says that the company wanted a percentage of all Pick Systems sales.
