Hey, guys. new here. Programmed PICK and Unidata back in the late 80's / early 90's and I'm REALLY rusty. Can anyone tell me where to find a Dict Reference Guide?

Thanks much-

Rich

Hi Rich,

Start here: https://docs.rocketsoftware.com/

Find the UniData documentation. There is a UniQuery document which outlines the query language. But I think what you really want is the "Using UniData" document which has a section on "UniData Dictionaries" and another on "Creating virtual attributes".

In my experience, these documents tell you stuff, but don't really teach you how to do things.

Try looking at the "Getting started in OpenQM - Part 1" document that you can download from www.rushflat.co.nz  That covers the QMQuery language and the construction of dictionary items in some detail. There may be some minor differences between OpenQM and UniData - but they are only minor.

Cheers,

Brian
